"Style is a very simple matter;
it is all rhythm.
Once you get that,
you can't use the wrong words.
But on the other hand here am I sitting after half the morning,
crammed with ideas, and visions, and so on,
and can't dislodge them, for lack of the right rhythm.
Now this is very profound, what rhythm is,
and goes far deeper than any words.
A sight, an emotion, creates this wave in the mind,
long before it makes words to fit it."
Virginia Woolf~
so,I have the key...
it seems..to the style...
and I sit,crammed with ideas...
and visions...
but the key is to put these ideas...
into a concrete form...
a shape...not just a vision...
so I find the rhythm...
for the styles...
and to me...
this rhythm becomes profound...
and the idea dislodges...
round and round...
the styles becomes concrete...
the deep waves in my mind...
the sight...
the emotion...
all seem to fit...
there are no wrong words...
so,it seems that...
it was a simple matter after all...
I have found my style...
(my personal designs to be written soon~ )

your words are just pure and simple, yet deep and curious....
oh how you write....how you photograph images to make your words even more alive than they already are....
I love your style Theresa in all you do...but mostly I love and admire the way you actually find your style.

Those are quite the detailed fingerless gloves.....wowie! And yes, talk about style.... I do believe you have it. Did I read that right? You are going to have your own designs? If so, let me be the first in line. I can't wait.

Beautiful series of photos. Wonderful post, too.
Your writing/photography/crafting style is wonderful. And so is that book. It's one that I own and look at often.
One of the joys of getting older is being true to oneself and not being afraid of expressing our personal style even if it doesn't line up with the fashion of the moment.
I look forward to the patterns to your beautiful wrist-warmers. Just my style!
I am always so excited to see your blog posts Theresa - this is nothing short of genius. How do you find the words - let alone the style?!! This concept of having all the ideas and visions teaming in one's head...and yet not finding the way to channel them, to release them, to form them in reality...its a struggle that I too can relate to...but I thought I was the only one...how enormously comforting to know that it is a struggle shared.
another simply beautiful post - I can't wait to see more, your personal designs - exciting!
Yes, you have found your style...it's pure poetry whatever you do!

beautiful. you are so talented and inspiring.
Love your style, Lady! Love those mitts. Your space is so beautiful and inspiring and full of style. Thank you for sharing.
Your photos are just so stunningly beautiful. I came here from your Flickr profile and was wondering if you could tell me why you are blocking me on Flickr? My ID is gentletouches. Have never been blocked by anyone before and would be interested in knowing the reason. I think at one time a few months ago, I put a couple of your photos in my Favorites without commenting. I was looking through someone else's slideshow of their Favorites and added a few of theirs to my own but didn't have the time then to go comment myself. Would that be why you have blocked me? I would appreciate it if you would reconsider.
beautiful!
everything is just beautiful- the words, the knits, the photos
sigh!!
your blog is a garden, where i can dwell over beauty and be touched by its depth. And it amazes me every visit
What a fabulous quote.
The photos are amazing...and you write so well...
To find your rhythm, listen to the inner beat of your soul.
Ah, virginia woolf. What words...yours and hers.
it's always a pleasure to come and visit your blog. Happy for you. It's like reading what is actually happening on my mind, like trying to find a path to let these ideas to come out and be translated so that they can turn out to be alive....
love that book too.
