are meant to be broken.
Imperfect.
Chaotic.
It's the universe's way of providing contrast, you know?
There have to be a few holes in the road.
It's how life is."
Sarah Dessen (The Truth about Forever)
I do think some things....
are meant to be broken...
imperfect....
with holes in the road...
wandering grapevine...
Selene is...
finished...blocked....
warm and cozy....
and perfectly perfect to me...
are good enough...
and the motion is not too chaotic .....
and hoping you will bear with me...
as I search for the keys...
to unlock....
some things....that's the way life is,
you know?

that is really beautiful!
to quote one of my favorites - "we are all broken in the most beautiful places. it's the cracks that make us beautiful"
Oh, Selene is so pretty! Love the holes.... :)
C'est tout joli! Bravo!
That's the wonderful thing about knitting, it can offer us little bits of comforting perfection (softness, warmth, order, symmetry) in a very imperfect world. Beautiful knitting!
... like ripples in calm waters...
... like a seed opening to sprout...
... like a moment in a beautiful day...
i see it. i see in your wrap too.

"Perfectly imperfect" is a whisper in my ear quite often.

There you go causing the knitting urges again..... The pattern is beautiful Theresa. I love it.
another thought provoking post...we are hopefully always continuing to unlock things - good luck as you explore! That Selene is beautiful and it is good to "see" you as well!
hello my friend,
you continue to warm my heart.
one love~
This is gorgeous, Theresa! I've been feeling the need to knit recently... I keep thinking that maybe I can finish a cowl or a wrap by the end of winter. Ha, silly me! Oh well, I suppose I will have to weave. Which isn't so bad either :)
Gorgeous.
Beautiful T.
Just like you.
Love how knitting can soothe the soul-
This lovely wrap must really warms your heart.
lovely, lovely, lovely!
and it's the holes and cracks that let the light shine through.
perfectly imperfect, truly.

and so perfectly lovely!!!

You look adorable!!!! We so rarely really get to see you :) Love, love, love your new wrap ~ it's perfect ~ the brokenness has woven a fabric that has brought beauty into this world.
Oh so pretty! So, so pretty!
t- you create such beauty both with your hands and your words. lovely.
Hope things are going better for you Theresa. I've been thinking of you. Hopefully, the time away at the ocean helped you. I know our vacation helped clear my mind a bit. Your wrap is wonderful. Hugs to you. xo
Perfect. Absolutely lovely! :)
Perfectly perfect to me...beautiful woven yarn and words Theresa...it's so strange...I recently felt particularly drawn to Marions keys - and so I bought a beautiful set of them...and I'm beset with thoughts about unlocking! But I'm not sure what...I think its a search for clarity, for peace of mind, a search for self? Who knows - I feel I have answers but am not sure what the right questions are!...apologies for waffling on about me - but you possess an ability to make people reflect xx
First of all, the wrap is gorgeous. And I do agree with you about the brokenness. I have really come to believe that it is through brokenness that we temper and become our true selves. And now I'm thinking of breaking the glass at Jewish weddings, breaking kindling for fires, breaking open pecans - the list is endless.

I'm doing similar things right now-- those keys are elusive, but hopefully not invisible.
Oh yes. Search for the keys my friend. You will find them when you need them and of course, we will wait. Hugs.
...absolutely beautiful, I love the quotes, too. I can't knit, but I think it really can be helpful.
Knitting is so much like life- so much is said about the knitter in their knits. The patterns that are chosen, the yarn selected and the love that goes into every stitch. Selene is beautiful- what does that say about you?
the keys are inside your heart ...
so good to see these gorgeous pages back!
big,big.biggest hugs
Oh how I love your soulful posts dear and gosh you are such a beautiful women inside and out!!! I adore your knitting projects and your writing...and yes some things are meant to e broken... from there we can build something new... broken are never the end but the begining....
Do you remeber that my daughter did not get accepted at the photography school? Well now I´m teaching her at home..starting from scratch..I feel a bit like a stay at home mom with a 17 year old..lol.. doing homeschooling....but I think this is the best solution for now and hopefully she will have a better chance at the school next time :-)
Love your friend C
Gorgeous shawl!!!
life is just one puzzle, challenge, after another. Ben Franklin, or Winston Churchill said something like: "I've never failed, just done 10,000 things wrong."
