the blues~

"We treat desire as a problem to be solved,
address what desire is for
and focus on that something
and how to acquire it
rather than on the nature
and the sensation of desire,
though often it is the desire between us
and the object of desire
that fills the space in between with the blue of longing."

Rebecca Solnit (A Field Guide to Getting Lost)

and there was desire...
first from one..

and then another...
as they focused on the acquiring of that desire...

I began addressing  the nature of this desire...
deciding they should be similar...

yet separate...
it seemed to me that this would solve many problems...
and the colors of that desire...
the sensation...blue...one warm...

one cool...
to fill the spaces between the longing.

problem solved?

not quite..
there was another desire...
you see...
and guess what the color of that longing would be?

(p.s....I am not liking Blogger's new set up...
it's giving me the blues...
anyone have any way to reduce these spaces??
that's my desire...
I have tried editing the HTML..without any luck...)
*clarification...spaces from text to photos...
I like the wide space of the page...
not the wide spacing in the posting~ ;))

how beautiful! the blues are so comforting on the eyes.
...to feel these creations through your hands, it has to be glorious.
love to you, my friend.
Hi sweetie

I´m not sure what you mean with spaces? Is it the space from right to left? In that case you can fix it in design. There is a sliding botton where you can adjust.

Your nitting is so amazing dear...these little girls must be so happy now :-)

Have a great day my friend!

Wow, those vests are adorable. Did you use some pattern for it?

I've found Windows Live Writer is a much better application to create and edit my posts. It's a free download.
You can still use blogger to play around with the design, etc.

love your blues....and what you create with yarn is just so damn beautiful....

and yes.....there is a slider that will let you adjust your whole page....

just play around until you find it and you'll be able to do your adjusting while looking at your page and it will be then exactly what size you want.

Loving the simplicity of the design, the draping of the yarn, the depth of the blues, the highlight of the button. Wonderful!

beautiful blues....for me, the art of longing is a pinkish lavender. or may be a soft minty green. because longing can sometimes be a bit jealous.
I hope this next one is for you!!!! They are ALL adorable the sweaters and the wee ones :)))

That is one tempting sweater and I can see the desire to have one. Must admit to a bit of lust myself - LOL

Seems to me that the problem must be within the code for the photos....

Great vests! Beautiful models you have there. No longer 'blue of longing' but more like 'ask and you shall receive.'
Beautiful post!!!

Wish I could help with the spacing question...

I like your happy blues a lot :-) And I also first had problems with the new editor (and so I used the old one again for some time) but now the new one is working better!

Great blues! Great problem solving.

Blogger keeps changing. When I like and get used to something they change it up.

I am finding that the spaces are like hard returns in Word. To cope with them I position the cursor where I want the space deleted and then hit the delete button. The space b/t the picture and the text will then tighten up for you.
