three things...
"You [I] have control over three things –
what you [I] think
what you [I] say,
and how you [I] behave.
To make a change in your [my] life,
you [I] must recognize that these gifts
are the most powerful tools you [I] possess
in shaping the form of your [my] life."
— Sonya Friedman
There are three after all...
and I thought it would not be fair...
to only make one...
the three are all about fairness...
and I had the control over the making...
so...
again...
I took control of my skills...
and tackled the Japanese books
that I so adore...
[did I ever tell you my neighbor is Japanese?
and that she could translate for me?]
no??
I don't like to impose...even though,I know...
she would not mind it at all...
that is my behavior...
the pattern...
light and airy....
perfect for summer...
I made a change,however...
I left off the bottom ruffle...
not wanting it to be to fussy....
so now there were three...
three gifts...recognized ...
made simply...
with simple tools...
fitting their form...
worn...
and loved....

Thank you for the 3 reminders -
So cute Theresa. I wish you were my neighbor..... although I don't know a word of Japanese, so I unfortunately would not be any help on that front... Hope you're having a great weekend. I'm missing all of your wonderful pictures. Hope to catch up at some point this week.

What lovely dresses - and lucky girls!
And a neighbor that can translate- what a gift!
Dear Theresa-simply Zen, simply magnificent, simply Summer! I think you should write a book-I would certainly buy it...so much beauty and wisdom...distilled. What an honor to read your words , see your images and have them seep into me.
A breath of fresh air just wafted from my monitor. Breathing in the sweetness of your words my friend.
And, how absolutely adorable are those dresses for the three. Delightful!
Adorable! I'm busy making clothes for my daughter, too. Must be the season...

Lordy, what I would give to have a Japanese neighbor to help me read and understand my heap of Japanese craft and pattern books. Well, the illustrations are good, and I will muddle through. They are definitely the - best - crafting - books - ever!
