~bliss

"It's good to be just plain happy, it's a little better to know that you're happy; but to understand that you're happy and to know why and how and still be happy, be happy in the being and the knowing, well that is beyond happiness, that is bliss." Henry Miller
I recently had a chance to meet bliss...................
Debbie Bliss that is.................... that's right...
THE Debbie Bliss...................... knitting designer extraordinaire.
and her lovely daughter Nell...
learning the how...and why...
and understanding a little more about her and her work... just truly made me plain happy.

A preview of new books to be released...

of new yarns...and new colors...
and a trunk full of her wonderful designs... well... you see...

beyond happiness...
and I am happy in the being and the knowing,
knowing that I have something just about finished..
something special to show you... right after the blocking {smiles}.....

Oh wow! What a delightful day that must have been. Back in the day (the 80's), I had two DB books that I just went back to over and over again. I think I knit every children's knit in one of her books. She is truly a knitting icon.

Oh my goodness, how lucky. The photos are wonderful and, wow, I mean to get to see these things in real life instead of just a picture in a book. Debbie Bliss is my favorite yarn for crochet.

She's a legend, that woman. I always come back to her designs, time and again.

You're the only person I know to come across better quotes and more often than I do :-) xxx.
