little gifts of friendship~

"Why did you do all this for me?" he asked. "I don't deserve it. I've never done anything for you.' You have been my friend,' replied Charlotte. 'That in itself is a tremendous thing." E.B. White (Charlotte's Web) that Charlotte~~~ so smart.. really... IMG_5323 a question I have asked a few times myself of late. because,I too...do not deserve it... and yet... I have been blessed...with some little gifts, some little gifts of friendship~ IMG_5314 unexpected gifts... of wool.... IMG_5653 copy and buttons... IMG_5658 and fabric... IMG_5637 flowers...and more.... IMG_5327 but beyond the tangible of shells and photos and books... I have been given love... and friendship... and that in itself... is truly a tremendous thing... it is... IMG_5622 copy I have been swatching... and dreaming..thinking...reading... and working way too much... IMG_5054 and offering a bit of some shameless self-promotion again... the editors of ARTFUL BLOGGING liked my header so much, it is featured in the Summer issue of ARTFUL BLOGGING MAGAZINE under "banners we love~" so I'd like to take a moment to thank them again for the honor... and I'd like to thank you all for your wonderful support by offering a giveaway of one of my prints... one~ I have a 10"x10" of this ranunculus... ready to be sent... leave me a comment...if you are interested. and a wish to you all for a most beautiful Mother's Day... and if you are not a mother... then a wish for YOUR mother ;) xoxo

What a treasure this is. A reminder of the many ways we can touch the lives of another. The gifts themselves are a wonder but the heart that thought of it now that is a true treasure. And the words you use to tell of these, this treasure are jewels in and of themselves Theresa......Happy Mothers Day to you my friend!

Funny. I was scrolling down your post, saying to my son who was sitting on the couch, "Gee this woman always takes lovely photos" when I find that you're giving one away!

Little gifty/crafty things in the mail are one of life's little sweeteners.

Charlotte, ever so wise! Hurray for your artful blogging...
I am of the firm belief that, in life, we get what we deserve. You are getting gifts of friendship, small or big, because you truly deserve them. You give of yourself, through your blog, through your fantastic pictures, and it is given back to you in other wonderful ways. Enjoy it, you deserve it!!!

Your posting really made me smile... and realize just how grateful I too am for those little gifts of friendship I receive. Isn´t it wonderful to have such good friends?

Happy Mother´s Day to you!

Isn't it the best warm fuzzy ever to have good friends send you things you weren't expecting - what a little treat. A little reminder that someone thinks your special - or many someones:) That print is gorgeous and runuculus are my favorite flower, so surely I'll be winning it - hee!

Oh, I love Charlotte's Web, and even more its predecessor Stuart Little.

Yes, friendships are so valuable...there is no way that they can be measured.

I will have to hop over again to my local Barnes & Noble's international magazine stand and see the article featuring you. (I have also been there to check out Emma Lamb ... forgive me for not seeing your pages then ... I did not put my reading glasses on.)

There is a fine art to accepting gifts. My mother told me that when I felt overwhelmed and undeserving the best thing to do was to simply say "Thank You."

I look forward to your posts, and if the print came to me I would give it a good home!
