I went in search of a color and a name~
"The whole world, as we experience it visually,
comes to us through the mystic realm of color "
Hans Hofmann
Our world is a spinning blur of color.
I took a moment to stop the spin and went in search...
of a lesson on color...
and a name for it...
I went to find the name of the color of my Atlantic.
My place of vast solitude and peace...
my retreat from the maddening spinning world...
I found the color of the sea,
reflected in a book...
in some yarn,
sometimes darker...
sometimes lighter...
just as the sea itself.
and reflected in a scent lightly held against the skin...
and in a vase holding the light scent of a flower...
the realm of color of a woman
in a favorite sweater...
and in the aged painted wood of an antique
ice cream churn...
in the visual experience of some new silk threads...
and of the color woven in throughout new fabric...
the color reflected in a cup of tea...
and in a card to buy some tea...
the color of spring....
the color of April sky's through colored glasses...
a blend of blues and of greens...
lights and dark's...
this this the color of my Atlantic.
And you thought I would wrap myself in grays....
{smiles}
well...I did...
along with the color of my Atlantic.
So what is this name?
The name of the color of my Atlantic?
We will call it the mystical color of water~

Gave me goosebumps. Yes,
the color of water. There
is nothing more serene,
more refreshing than she.
