~needing sleeves
"A true leader always keeps and element of surprise
up his sleeve,
which others cannot grasp
but which keeps his public excited and breathless"
Charles De Gaulle
hmmmm~
loaded words....
I have no sleeves....
and I need some sleeves...
no surprises there...
what I truly need to do is lead myself...
into some time...
for me....
away from the snow....
away from the grasp of work....
now that would be exciting...
and finish the sleeves.
then I could breathlessly decide...
which buttons to use on my Japanese tea leaves
and finalize this project...
because there are always choices...
always a plan or two...
up some other sleeve...
something else to delve into
something to keep me busy...
and something to keep me excited and breathless...
like the thought of Spring...
{smiling}
because there are always choices...
always a plan or two...
up some other sleeve...
something else to delve into
something to keep me busy...

That's going to be a beautiful cardigan, Theresa! And, yes, thoughts of spring {and all its blossoms} are making me giddy!
What is it about sleeves.....always seems to be so hard to get to them. This looks wonderful, and those buttons are gorgeous.
Love it! Get going on those sleeves; it's beautiful.
Love this.
The pattern is delightful and the yarn...so pretty.
gahhh the button issue T.
Can't wait to see it finished.
Also, Merci beaucoup for the very generous email- you always surprise me.
...and so I shall encourage you in return... Your cardigan is looking beautiful, it will be so nice to wear as we close out this sweater season, because, yes, it will come to a close! You excel in the details, so I'm certain the buttons you choose will be the perfect ones.

Hope you get that time for you soon and a great new cardi for spring
The second set of buttons is incredibly beautiful and I think they are simply made for this cardi! Good luck with the sleeves - they usually are much faster than we expect while we dread them... :)
Lovely, thoughtful, inspiring!

Wishing you quiet time for sleeve knitting...it's going to be beautiful! Where do you end up finding so many beautiful buttons? It makes for hard choices, but I'm so envious of your collection!
You always find the most perfect buttons. And colors. And words.
What a lovely cardigan! I like the top buttons, but any buttons you pick out just seem to work somehow.

I love the colors you use in your work. The neutrals, the grays, combined with the textures, are alluring. You make me want to take up knitting again. Thank you for all the inspiration.

Sleeves, what is it about sleeves, but this cardigan must have sleeves, so you must knit sleeves, it will look stunning.
You always make the right choice when it comes to buttons, the 2nd buttons are my choice.
You are stunning, your mind and work both.
ca va etre magnifique!!
I can understand your yearning for Spring. Spring comes early here (it's in full swing now) so January is a month of longing and yearning under grey skies. Yes, I know how it feels.
Gosh, the buttons you've found for this cardigan are gorgeous! Seems you can't go wrong with either choice. Good luck with the sleeves - it's the last slog...

oh T ~ the thought of spring is the only thing keeping me going, the daffodils are slowly but surely pushing their way out of the frozen ground... soon there will be swathes of beautiful bright yellow... :)
