~january indecision

"Then indecision brings its own delays, And days are lost lamenting o'er lost days. Are you in earnest? Seize this very minute; What you can do, or dream you can, begin it; Boldness has genius, power and magic in it.” Johann Wolfgang von Goethe January...2010... and here I sit..feet up...indecisive for so long... the holidays have come and gone... and I have sat...delayed... pondered and dreamed... and finally... finally...I have made a decision... I will use the Habu... the tsumugi silk charcoal time to use... use it up... and enjoy... it will be my Japanese Tea leaves ... so I begin...and I will work... and savor each stitch... like a cup of good tea. no need to rush... it is January... a time to be slow.... a time for waiting...for spring... for yarn balls... and treats... from far away... a time to send...and for others to wait...just a little. but a time to seize the moment... try something new... something magical... I will not regret this January. no...I this time I will make decisions... and be happy with them.

Oh I am learning that January is a time to be slow and I am enjoying it so much. As I am enjoying the planning of the yarn ball. This may just be my favourite January for years. Lovely photos as ever.

Your choices of color and style are always so perfect. I can't wait to see it completed.

I'm holding fast to my resolution to learn to knit this year. I know my sloppy stitches will not compare, but someday, with lots of practice I hope to make something even half as beautiful as yours.
