I've had mine...
it's growing...this fiber...
it's nearly complete...maybe today...
if I can focus...
and be honest...
you have the strength of fiber to be honest with me...
more fiber...handmade...and man-made...

Nope, haven't had my fiber today ..yet.
I have been roto tilling my garden and eating figs. I have been looking at my knitting basket all day and I finally have some time now to take on my daily fiber.
Honestly;
YES.
I have managed a little English sheep fibre today to spin!
I love the yarn you have used and I love the buttons, but maybe the buttons detract from the shades in the yarn? I think plain buttons. :)
I think those buttons complement your etole beautifully. I can't wait to see it modelled. I love the acorns. They are one of my favorite Fall things. Happy Sunday!
considering the colors of the yarn and the pattern of the buttons, it might be a bit too much together.
today i've been organizing my fibers, along with the all the other random bits & bobs in the apartment.
Love the buttons and seriously consider using them on something subtle so they can steal the show!
I am yet to have dose of knitting, maybe after getting dinner ready!
enjoy!
Not enough fiber yet today. Maybe later after all the cleaning and organizing.
Having looked at the other projects on Rav and seeing the unusual construction of this garment, I say YES.
I love the buttons! YES!
And I've had enough fiber, not as much as I'd like, but by tonight I'll be set!
Cleaning is my priority today, finishing the body of my sweater comes second...
Live life on the edge....
go for it! (You can always take them off and go for plain if they really don't work....)
That pattern is gorgeous!
finished messing with my cortlands...now for some serious fiber...love the buttons but for me they seem to fight with the yarn...but then again what do i know....lol....xo
finishing the mitts from your pattern...x
Great shirt! Yes, I've had my fibre today, thanks for asking. :)
Great buttons, they'll look great with that yarn. The squiggly pattern on them draws my eye back to the yarn.
Hmm -- I'm afraid I cannot see the buttons well enough to decide. From what I can see, they look a little like blood-shot eyeballs, so I would say no.
Great shirt! Haven't had enough fiber lately due to everyone being sick...including me. Hopefully this week!
No fiber today... Except in the form of apples :)
I think this yarn is too beautiful to put busy buttons on it. I would choose something in a close color, but more plain... I think I would save the squigglies for a project in which they were on a more plain yarn maybe? I'm not sure.
loving that fiber, had some last night and hopefully more tonight. the buttons are a yes for me! i think they work great together.
Thank you for bringing me some connection to the wonders of fiber and knit, through your post and the commenters who've gotten here before me.
Simple button might be best. Either go very subtle or take it quite over the top. No inbetween.
Just wondering when I will next find time to get some hooks or needles into any yarn. Thank you for getting that thought started.
xo
No fiber today unfortunately...peach and plum season so have been canning and making jam all weekend.
I think those buttons are beautiful and match the yarn perfectly.
MY first instinct say a big hearty yes! Can't wait ot see what it it!!!!
I'm going to be having my daily fibre in a few minutes, when I gather the will to un-ply a 2-ply yarn I've made, and then decided to go with singles instead...
Gorgeous fibre you chose for your Étole, I love it.
And I think the buttons have all the colours in the yarn, they complement it beautifully, so I would say: Go for it!!!
Happy week!
love the Tee !
for the buttons they look perfect for this project - very original !
yes, why not go all the way?
Beautiful combination of yarns and I love the buttons.
Just had my daily fiber!
Those buttons, love but do you want to show off your choice of yarn combination or the buttons? Tough decision.....I'm sure you will know whats right :)
xx
Hi, I popped over here from Camilla's sweet blog. I just have to say that I love your photographs and all the beautiful knitting that you do. I will look forward to visiting here and thanks for the inspiration!
Sara
Oh, no fiber today. But thanks for reminding me! I'll have to be sure and fit some in tonight.
no one but a knitter knows how vital the daily dose is.
I say YES to the buttons :o)
The buttons are gorgeous. If they don't work out you could always swap them for something else.
Sorry I'm late to the party. You have no idea what I've been through since Saturday - computer crashed - hard drive appeared lost, etc. Just catching up on myself and emails today.
You have probably already decided but, for my 2 cents worth, I can't imagine more perfect buttons than those :) They are perfect with the yarn and so unique ~ really a find. Now don't go leaving us all hanging for weeks at a time - LOL
Hope your week is going better than mine :)
Oh yes, use those buttons they seem quite perfect!
uhh i love your daily fiber! its truly yummy!
and i love your banner! :)
have a nice day
xo
I never seem to get enough fiber! ;)
But yes, those buttons look perfect!
Yes to the buttons, they are so unique....and fiber, well, definitely have some everyday but not before I go running :)
Beautiful! You have no idea how many hours I lose in your Flickrstream!
Love the Tee. I think those buttons look really beautiful with the yarn! I will be gorgeous!
