Drinking from the stream...

"...Make a small thing great, and the few into many- Take on the largest things when they are still small, Start the hardest things while they are still easy..." Tao I must apologize. For many things. My life has taken a sudden turn towards the disarray.
I wish I could show you some finished knit. I have been neglectful.
I apologize if I have not gotten to thank you all for your lovely comments... or left comments on your blogs ... I am sorry. I have received many gifts over the past few weeks. Lovely gifts. From generous and lovely friends. Friends from far away and friends from not so far away.
Lovely Michele... One was expected...the others not... As I unwrapped,I felt the true beauty of the person A person who took such time to choose and send. Every piece, including the wrapping a treasure.
And Chawnee... a trade of a knit for a sewn came with so much more. Tactile and tasted... socks so lovely ...the fit like a glove.
And Lin... who gifted me with a precious piece of vintage Japanese velvet,
artfully crafted by her hand into a precious pincushion.
There is an old Chinese proverb:
"When you drink from the stream, remember the spring."
I have drank from the stream.
I am thankful...now,to remember the spring...
I now have 3 bags full,
full of yarn and things,
bits and pieces,odds and ends,
maybe they can be put to some good use.
They prepared, they drew and we have some winners.
Would Lisa from Littlefish Studios, Greenolive, and Nicole-Cocoknits please email me with your mailing address...I'd like to send you your bags!

How like you to apologize when you have nothing to apologize for! Remember that into every life some rain must fall.... without which the sunny times wouldn't seem so special.

Lovely post full of truth and beauty.

After reading about all the lovely things you've received (and well deserved, I must say—I've seen your generosity in action) and now I find out that I'm to be one of the lucky recipients of your giving heart. Wow! I'm so excited! Thank you, thank you.

I'm emailing you now.

Very thought provoking post. Beautiful.
You put into words exactly what I was thinking this weekend when I received an unexpected gift - it made me feel the true beauty of the person in the selecting, wrapping and sending. Thanks for saying it for me.
