this gilet is uncomplete...
made with two strands of contrasting yarn
a Shibui worsted merino and Claudia's hand dyed sock
named the same-INK...but slightly different.
The sock yarn has some degree of variation...much like a pen running out of ...ink...
but I like that...
an unevenness...
an imperfectness...
creating some depth and character.
and Lena
so that is why I started the French cardi...an effortless garter stitch...
one of these two will seize me...
to have completed.

Both look lovely, and I sure will be well worn when you are done. I totally understand the need to have more than one project to satisfy different needs. I never used to, but now I do... I hope that you're having a calm knitting weekend.
Both are so wonderful, I love the contrast of colors: ink and a wheat! So beautiful and such sublime photos.
i'm in love with the gilet. so gorgeous and will be worth the time.
Ohhhhhh. Both are fabulous designs! I can see why each draws you :)
Hope you had a relaxing week off ~ and it's almost March - in like a lion out like a lamb....
What beautiful things you create whilst wandering.
the knits are gorgeous, and so much like the poetry of your blog, one being light and the other so dark.
i don't think you are alone in your incomplete-ness. i've been feeling a bit of that lately, too. whether it's knitting, home duties, or my own life goals... it's all a little shaky right now.
They are looking so pretty!
beautiful. i love the mix of yarns in the gilet... :)
I like your analogy with a pen running out of ink - very true, and very attractive. I am planning to do this design too - it is s a sweet project :)
Perfect colour for the gilet, love it, will be totally wearable. Enjoy your week off work, plenty knitting and relaxing days :)
Both are gorgeous! Sometimes I want to pull your camera back, I'm so greedy for every little detail of your wonderful work:)
Keep working on whichever you need to work on and they'll get done. You'll get there. And they'll be lovely to wear.
I haven't been able to complete anything in a long while. These look really pretty.
they borth look very beautiful!
please give me advise about patterns! check out my post about my delema please
thanks :D
knitting looks great. complete understand the droning on of having to do ribbing. it is one of my least favorite things. right up there with seed stitch. but they look so great with certain knits that we just can't avoid them.
how lovely!
Your photos are dreamy. :)
colors and textures
shadows and light
simplicity and beauty
poetry and heart...
is there any wonder i love visiting you here?
Beautiful post.
It's difficult to strive for completion when so much is going on [in all our lives]. Allow your mind to wander, to search, to dream. It will all come together in the end.
Both projects are beautiful, and will be done when the time is right. Yummy photos, as always.
am wondering which one seized you. Both are beautiful
