uncomplete~

My mind feels itself set in motion. Wandering ,searching, unable to settle on a single thought, forcing me to search for many outlets... this gilet is uncomplete... made with two strands of contrasting yarn a Shibui worsted merino and Claudia's hand dyed sock named the same-INK...but slightly different. The sock yarn has some degree of variation...much like a pen running out of ...ink... but I like that... an unevenness... an imperfectness... creating some depth and character.
and Lena
well, it is uncompleted as well. I must confess the ribbing is a drone...
so that is why I started the French cardi...an effortless garter stitch...
allowing my mind be free to do its wanderings. struggling between dream and reality
one of these two will seize me...
forcing me to settle and finish... to be whole again.
to have completed.

Both look lovely, and I sure will be well worn when you are done. I totally understand the need to have more than one project to satisfy different needs. I never used to, but now I do... I hope that you're having a calm knitting weekend.

Both are so wonderful, I love the contrast of colors: ink and a wheat! So beautiful and such sublime photos.

the knits are gorgeous, and so much like the poetry of your blog, one being light and the other so dark.
i don't think you are alone in your incomplete-ness. i've been feeling a bit of that lately, too. whether it's knitting, home duties, or my own life goals... it's all a little shaky right now.

I like your analogy with a pen running out of ink - very true, and very attractive. I am planning to do this design too - it is s a sweet project :)

Keep working on whichever you need to work on and they'll get done. You'll get there. And they'll be lovely to wear.

knitting looks great. complete understand the droning on of having to do ribbing. it is one of my least favorite things. right up there with seed stitch. but they look so great with certain knits that we just can't avoid them.

It's difficult to strive for completion when so much is going on [in all our lives]. Allow your mind to wander, to search, to dream. It will all come together in the end.
Both projects are beautiful, and will be done when the time is right. Yummy photos, as always.
