"... He exists as certainly as love and generosity and devotion exist,
.... Alas! how dreary would be the world if there were no Santa Claus!
...There would be no childlike faith then, no poetry,
no romance to make tolerable this existence.
We should have no enjoyment, except in sense and sight..."
By Francis P. Church, first published in The New York Sun in 1897
I was sitting and knitting this Habu
gear linen,
making a reverse bloom washcloth from
Weekend Knitting,

and hanging the stockings, getting into the spirit,

when something magical happened...Santa came early...

a package from
Belgium full of all sorts of treats,
a knitted pin,a knitting needle roll,
bags for the girls,an
apron and...

some real,Belgian chocolate. But that was not all...
He also brought gifts from
Australia.

Buttons...the most wonderful buttons,curved ones,smooth ones,
wooden ones,carved ones...

such a treat...I couldn't believe my eyes.

A spoon for stirring and linen for sewing...
gifts wrapped with tissue and hearts,
Now,who could not believe in Santa Claus?

Thank you
Nathalie...for thinking of me...
And thank you
Nora for making me feel so special.
I BELIEVE...you should,too!

Well, I believe that nice people need to be rewarded too. It's all about the good karma. Lovely goodies for a kind and generous person. (The buttons are sooooo fabulous!)

Oh T how wonderful. What gorgeousness. I really, really like your tree! Is it not great getting goodies in the post?
Obviously you've been a very good girl! Definitely on Santa's "nice" list. Beautiful!
Good old Santa. The world would indeed be a poorer place without him.
what wonderful gifts!... so so lovely!.. Your tree is beautiful. Santa is surely smiling your way! ;)
Those stockings!! I love the texture (of course...) and the rows and that the white is off-white. Your tree is truly regal. Those glass balls really shine when they're backlit. That chocolate looks amazing.
Santa is just as real as love and caring. Which are definitely real.
Hand over the buttons and no one gets hurt.... :D
Beautiful post, T.
