What are you like, when you expect something and receive so much more?
When I am given a gift,I am inclined to open it in private,I do not like to feel exposed, emotionally or otherwise.
I hurried to a private place to open this package.I thought,I had expected, one thing...but received so much more.
It is sometimes hard to express just how thankful you are; sometimes,it's more than the gift you are thankful for.
I expected these buttons. Charcoal.Metal.Cold.Smooth.Curved.Perfect.
But,there was more. There were large ones and small ones,

there was this one ,

and this one,

an old clock face to create with, there are old type letters, and photos.
and linen bags for the treasure.

even the box was beautiful .
Thank you
Al

I knew you would turn things of isolation into a beautiful story in pictures.
You are very much welcome for all of it. Anytime.
T, we need one of those button shops in the U.S.!!!! They are absolutely fabulous. I don't know about you, but whenever I get a tidy, little button package from AU, I don't want to actually use them. They are like little pieces of art work I just want to savor...
So so .. pretty... Kim's right.. WE need these in well.. we need them in Connecticut.. but she and i need instant gratification!... each one is a treasure.
T: I like the way you describe opening a gift! I have never thought about it before. You are abosultey right, it should be an experience to savor :)
