...remembering...

I don't believe I ever have posted modeled photos of these sweaters, that is ,if I am remembering correctly.I have a couple on flickr, old ones, not very good quality,so, I thought you might enjoy these... All are Debbie Bliss patterns. This one is from the baby knits book, I used Debbie Bliss Cotton/Silk Aran ,it's the classic cardigan...Lullabye had to model while holding the elderberries...we did it without a stain... Millie's Daisy Cardigan is from Debbie Bliss' Simply Baby. I used her Cotton DK in chocolate and robin's egg blue for contrast...this pattern is really an overdose of moss stitch....Debbie Bliss seems to love it...as she incorporates it in so many of her patterns....I don't know how you feel about this stitch...I like it,but after doing some of her knits I need to detox... This sweater is seriously girl-girls favorite...she would sleep in it if she could. What else,Debbie Bliss, from her Great Knits for Kids. Guess the name...Moss and cable jacket with petal collar...yet another overdose. This one is from Rowan DK Handknit Cotton. The color is called Fawn, girl-girl loves browns...go figure. This antique bowl is filled with corks, wine corks...you may be asking why...well,we save them, and remember ...family,friends,good times...just like the sweaters, remembering when...we made them,we wore them,we loved them... But we cannot forget the new ones... (p.s.---next post will be a giveaway!)

Debblie Bliss's knits for kids are my favourite. I have a few books and have knit some. These are certainly sweet and comfortable on the kiddo's. You're lucky you get to knit for them.

ooh love the cowl. Wish I had little girls to knit for!
What a fun look at some lovely knits! They have sure held up well and to see them being worn and enjoyed - well - it doesn't get better than that!

The new project looks so pretty and soft, I can't wait to see what you are making!

Oh my, they are all gorgeous, I absolutely love the last one and don't have that book, hmm, might have to go shopping...

I absolutely agree with you, DB sure does love her moss stitch. It's one of those stitches that I love the look of but really hate to knit. I guess that is so much that is true of life.
