Yes,it's a scarf. It's
Lofty, a Kim Hargreaves pattern from
Rowan magazine #34. I wanted to use the
Jo Sharp Aran Silkroad tweed that
Kim sent me and I think I've found the perfect pattern for it.This is a dropped stitch scarf, knit on the bias. It's quick and fun. And,I adore this color-it's called Twig.Perfect. Just perfect for autumn. I'm finishing up these
socks and then a
sweater is next,I believe. Autumn is the time for
sweaters...

and school...everyone is talking about school again-so I suppose it's only natural for my mind to drift there....as I was knitting, the scarf reminded me of one of those
Chinese paper lanterns...you know, the ones we all made in school...

and autumn is the time for lovely muted colors....I found the most wonderful hydrangeas at the
Frick soft, dusty pink color...very feminine. I was taken there for a birthday treat. We had Tea; actually Royal Tea, no less...a
peach bellini is what made it royal. Little tea sandwiches, scones and desserts...really what more could you ask for?

Autumn is just beyond the fence...

I think that Cellini is adorable. Can't wait to see it done up.
I too am in love with Assemblage. What yarn are you planning on using?
Come on fall!
Oh, yes, the tweedy scarf in that yarn and colour sounds perfect to me. It' also looks good on you.
