It all started last Friday,my daughter asked me to help her with a project from
this book,I then decided it was time to attend to the fabric on my cutting table,so I came to a
decision, and this bag came to life;

I am pleased with the outcome...heavy Japanese cotton canvas from
here, natural unbleached linen lining,soft refurbished leather accents,my knitting tag and a cool snap;

that's it,and I love it...simple and fresh;

now this new velvet ribbon...soft and plush...

So pretty! My mom keeps threatening to teach me how to sew, but... it hasn't happened....
Wow - that came out so nicely! Sewing is not my strong suit - I recall having to sew a top in highschool home economics class and it was a nightmare. Have you thought about sewing a vintage apron? I think that would be fun to make too.
It is very lovely!
gorgeous bag...great weekend crafting!
The bag is divine. I took a quick peek at the book, there were some very nice things to make. Makes the sewing machine start to get fidgety.
looks beautiful. love those colors.
How very pretty! I've got to get sewing one of these days.
