a few goodies~

You know I love Sunday knitting-I enjoy a break for the big projects (even if the only need seamed!)-some smaller project I can finish in a day or two. These Snuglets fit perfectly for that-I am making them for Millie-they will be a 2nd birthday gift...soon...the alpaca is soft and the merino handles like a dream-the pattern is easy to follow-there are an adult pair on the horizon also...they will be felted and little leather soles will be applied-adorable,really... these shortbreadlike cookies are quite different from the usual choco-chip treats:
  1. 2 cups butter or margarine,softened
  2. 2 cups plus 3 TBSP powdered sugar,divided
  3. 2 tsp vanilla
  4. 1/2 tsp salt
  5. 4 1/2 cups flour
  6. 1 pkg.(12 oz) chocolate chips

cream butter & 2 cups powdered sugar;beat in vanilla &salt.Gradually stir in flour until well blended;stir in chocolate pieces.Dough will be stiff.Shape into 1" balls;place 2" apart on an ungreased baking sheet.Flatten with a for into 1 1/2 " rounds.Bake 350 degrees-15 min or until light golden-tops will still look whitish. While cookies are still warm sprinkle with the remaining powdered sugar stirred thru a strainer.Cool.

Wrapping by Martha..

these flowers...by nature...

Both the yarn and the cookies look delicious (only a knitter can know what I mean). BTW, I nominated you for an Award.

Those little Snuglets are going to be adorable! I don't dare write down that recipe, as I know I would eat them all myself! What a lovely presentation of both projects (as usual).
